I had my 7th grade students orally create a rubric for their descriptive piece. I got to thinking that I want to know more about how the students felt about the rubric and if it had helped their writing. So I am in the process of creating an evaluation for their descriptive piece. Here are some of the questions I have thought of:

• What was the easiest part of your descriptive piece? Why?
• What was the most difficult part of your descriptive piece? Why?
• Did your writing partner help you with any part of your essay? What? How?
• Did you honestly read the self editing rubric when editing and revising your essay?
• What helped you the most on the rubric? Explain.
• Did you honestly make revisions?
• What are your thoughts on the class making the rubric?
• What grade do you believe you should recieve and why?
